The Gedong Songo temple complex consists of nine buildings, not all of which are still intact, but whose remains have been found. Gedong Songo also means nine buildings in Javanese. On the morning we visited here it was raining heavily, and clouds and fog had gathered in the valley. Here is a shot of one of the temples lower down in the valley.
