Artist's Description

Ma'badong ritual during a death ceremony. A group of men form a circle and sing a monotonous chant throughout the day and night to honor the deceased. This is considered by many Torajan people to be the most important component of the funeral ceremony. Normally performed on the first day of the funeral ceremony, which can last for a couple of days.
